The television character that had the greatest influence over me as a child is Arthur the aardvark. My mom and I would watch Arthur everyday when I got home from school. As I grew up Arthur and I were experiencing everything at the same time from issues with friends, to loosing teeth, to chicken pox, and sports teams. Arthur and I were both the oldest child in our family having to deal with our younger annoying sibling. I liked how Arthur learned lessons from his friends like Binky, Buster, Francine, and Muffy. I could not only relate to what Arthur was going through but I could also relate to all of his friends. Arthur always wanted to learn, which made me want to learn as I was constantly asking questions. I watched the television show a lot, but I also read all of the Arthur books. I enjoyed all of the adventures that Arthur went on and both of us had a huge imagination as we were always making up games and being spontaneous kids.
